Key Strategy Outcome
Clearly endorsed, functional, effective and efficient organisational policy documents that provide a mandate to ZAN’s operations contributing to the realisation of the vision.
Strategy Description
• Finalise and adopt the constitution and code of conduct. • Review and develop operational policies and manuals (Human Resources, finance, administration, vehicle and all other assets, BOT, NMC, operational manuals and other policies that may be deemed necessary. • Reviewing of organisational structures in line with the current Strategic Framework, • Review monitoring and evaluation system. During the strategy period, ZAN will establish an effective appraisal systems for its secretariat and governance structures (NMC and BOT).
Strategy Objectives
1 Finalise and adopt revised constitution, code of conduct for members including Memorandums of Understanding 2 Review and update current policy documents, e.g. vehicle, finance, administrative, human resources and establish new ones where necessary
2 Review and adapt the current organisational structure according to the new strategy
3 Effect a management system that enables all departments within the secretariat to effectively contribute to achievement of vision.
Priority Activities 1 Solicit technical support for constitution and code of conduct finalisation and dissemination 2 Prepare for and hold provincial and national AGMs before end of each year 3 Identify, recruit and train staff in line with identified human resource gaps 4 Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation framework for all levels of the organisation for performance management.
